When burned in the air, tellurium has a greenish-blue flame and forms tellurium dioxide as a result. Tellurium is unaffected by water or hydrochloric acid, but dissolves in nitric acid. It has an atomic mass of 127.6 g/mol-1 and a density of 6.24 g-cm-3. Its boiling point is 450 degrees Celsius and its melting point is 1390 °C.Web
